With past experience as a qualified pet groomer, trainer and animal attendant, her passion translates in this role perfectly.Macy has two dogs of her own, Winston, her miniature dachshund, and Mia, her Maltese Shi Tzu x.

Molly who joined the Departure Pets Family back in the beginning of 2022 (originally based in Melbourne) is now working at our Brisbane office and is responsible for developing travel quotes, executing client bookings and the occasional pet collection and delivery. With past experience as a Pet Groomer and a diploma of Equine Business Management, Molly’s love for animals is evident not only in her work, but in her hobby’s as well. She also has 3 beautiful groodles of her own - Rosie, Marli and Archie.

Meet Amy
Amy is our international pet travel consultant. Amy is responsible for all of our International exports to Europe and the United Kingdom. This includes providing relevant and specific quotes, coordinating all of the government documentation and managing the compliance of all certificates and permits. Amy has a thorough understanding of travel, with a Certificate IV in Travel and Tourism. Amy’s love for pets started many years ago when she first ventured into photography and specialised in pet portraits. Her love for animals translates through her work and the relationships she builds with all of her clients, loving and treating their pets like her own.

MEL Pet Handler

Meet Cindie
Our Melbourne Pet Handler Cindie has been responsible for collecting and delivering pets to and from their locations, keeping pets company during transit stops and facilitating our international departures for the past 3 years with Departure Pets. Cindie has been and is very involved in animal welfare and handling, including the Bull Arab adoption program she used to manage, and is still actively involved with. She also fosters animals in her spare time, 3 of which were so loveable that she couldn’t say goodbye to and are now permanent members of her family; Jack, Molly and Gypsy.

Meet Karen
With extensive experience in the pet industry, Karen has a strong background and love for animals. An example of this is her history as an esteemed greyhound trainer and in greyhound racing, as well as having previously owned a boarding facility for many years. Karen is one of our pet handlers in Melbourne responsible for collecting and delivering pets to and from their locations, keeping pets company during transit stops and facilitating our international departures.

With over 7 years in the industry, Iain is our Brisbane Operations Manager, responsible for coordinating schedules, collecting and delivering pets to and from their locations, keeping pets company during transit stops and facilitating our international departures. His love and care for animals is evident in all he does. Having previously worked as an African Animal Keeper at Australia zoo, his knowledge and understanding  of pet safety, happiness and comfort makes him the perfect man for the job.

Leuca is our Sydney Operations Manager. With 4 years in the Animal Care Industry, a Certificate II in Animal Studies and a Certificate III in Captive Animals, Leuca is well equipped and passionate about the care of all fur babies. Her love for animals can be seen in all that she does and is evident in the comfort of your fur babies when in her care. “I completed a Bachelor of Forensic Science & Biochemistry, but I never used it. I much prefer working with animals and love my job which gives me the opportunity to do this daily".

Meet Isabella
Isabella is one of our Pet Handlers in Sydney. With previous experience as a Pet Groomer and working at a Pet Boarding Facility, her calming touch and understanding of animal care is exactly what your fur baby wants and needs when travelling in unfamiliar environments. In her spare time, Isabella loves to foster kittens and very much enjoys loving all animals as her own. With a future goal to become a dog trainer, her passion and patience is executed thoroughly in this role. “Nothing makes me happier than when an owner is surprised that their dog loves me! I aim to send all dogs home with a smile on their face”
